The Glock 26X - Best of both worlds

01/28/2023

G26X By Printz Firearms

So it's no secret that my favorite gun of all time is the Glock 26. I have owned a half dozen of them over time, in different configurations. Then out comes the G45, the perfect mix of full size frame and capacity and compact sized slide with the compact recoil system. This proves to be a truly soft shooter, and has taken the market by storm for the "Duty" grade weapons. So here I sat, thinking, Why can't the same idea work for the G26? G26 Slide with G19 frame and capacity? And I hear you now....

"What about the G43X?"

- Sure - It's there but I don't prefer it. I don't prefer the frame.

"G26 is too bulky"

- I don't agree. I prefer to have the ability to use my full size magazines in my concealed carry weapon.

G26 Right G26X Left

So off to work I went. I picked up a used G26 Gen 4. Immediately the slide went down to machining. Optic Cut, Recoil Reduction Ports, and of course we had to get a little spicy and make a new logo. "26" became "26X" Now for the tough part, the frame. While I went through more then a few designs, I finally settled on "welding" a magazine sleeve to the bottom of the G26 frame. After a process of chemically attaching, sanding, stippling, and then finally Cerakote - We have made our G26 frame into a G19 Grip and capacity, no change of the serial number. Since inception, This has become almost my permenant carry gun.

The Drop Test

The question echoed within my brain constantly. "Will the add on mag sleeve hold up to being dropped?" Once the completed the build, I conducted the drop test. Three Shoulder height (I am 5'8) drops - falling frame first. All three showed no change or damage. whew.... that hurdle complete.

Shooting

Glock 26s are always be called "Snappy" - meaning the front of the gun moves alot and you have felt recoil. This I can't deny, its a small package. The 26X changes that. Remember, you have a 16 grip now. That full grip makes a huge difference on controlling the recoil, no matter how small the barrel. You have more area to hold on to. Couple that with our RRP (Recoil Reduction Ports shown below)

and it  make this a very managable, flat shooter. The added grip and capacity make this a total package.

Want one? Hit us up. I will do these as a custom sale each time. Again, No serial numbers are changed this is just a total make over of your existing G26.
